My name is Dorinda Smith… 

You probably know me as The Autoimmune Geek.

I’m that Autoimmune Disease Research Scientist who developed her own set of autoimmune diseases… seven of them.

I became disabled and lived on a cocktail of 12 to 20 pharmaceutical meds per day for over 14 years.

My conventional medicine PhD program taught me that my Fibromyalgia, Scleroderma, Arthritis, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Crohn’s, Polymyositis, and Addison’s Disease were “incurable” -- that there was no hope.  Despite the many pharmaceuticals, my illnesses would continue to progress.  I would continue to suffer and eventually die young.

I was raising my only grandchild by myself, so dying young and leaving this poor child alone was my very worst fear.  She had already suffered enough.

You’d know that I’ve always been the science geek since early childhood. I’m one of those deep thinkers… striving to learn the TRUTH in all things… whether this be learning complex molecular biochemistry to find the cure for disease, or simply understanding why we exist.

I became a Christian 30 years ago after studying the evidence in all the world’s religions in depth.  My deepest desire was to use the gifts God gave me to love and help others.

But my illness left me feeling as though I had no real purpose in life…  Being in constant pain with all my many symptoms, I felt that I could do very little to help others.  Heck, I couldn’t even do a good job raising my own granddaughter in my condition.

But God had bigger plans for my life…  And now, everything has changed!

I’m now 95% reversed to date, and according to my biomarkers, I’m actually healthier now than I was when I was younger – and I did this at the no-spring-chicken age of 58!
